| - La mythologie pyrénéenne est l'ensemble des récits, contes, légendes et croyances diverses qui se rapportent directement à la chaîne des Pyrénées et à ses piémonts nord et sud. Les Pyrénées constituent un ensemble géographique cohérent mais culturellement, religieusement, socialement hétérogène. Les Pyrénées ont été habitées par des peuples différents, parlant des langues différentes. En plus du français et du castillan, relativement récents, on parle d'autres langues, selon les régions, basque, gascon (béarnais, bigourdan), occitan (sud languedocien), esp. aragonais et catalan.
