| - Billy « Mr B » Eckstine né William Clarence Eckstein est un chanteur, trompettiste, tromboniste à pistons et chef d'orchestre américain de jazz, né à Pittsburgh en Pennsylvanie le 8 juillet 1914 et mort le 8 mars 1993. Le New York Times le décrit comme un "chef de big band influent" et également un "Baryton-Basse à la voix suave" qui a inspiré des chanteurs comme Joe Williams, (en), ou bien encore Lou Rawls. Il fait partie des grands chanteurs populaires internationaux américains comme Bing Crosby, Peggy Lee, Dick Haymes, Sarah Vaughan, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, etc. (fr)
