| - La Renaissance à Urbino (également nommée Renaissance géométrique) est une variante de la Renaissance italienne propre à Urbino dans l’actuelle région des Marches. Ses principaux protagonistes sont Piero della Francesca, Donato Bramante, Francesco di Giorgio Martini, Luciano Laurana, Juste de Gand, Pedro Berruguete, Fra Carnevale, Giovanni Santi (père du peintre Raphaël), Melozzo da Forli, Giuliano da Sangallo, Alvise Vivarini. Le mouvement culturel à Urbino, qui se limite à la cour autour de son prince mécène ayant fait appel à de nombreux artistes étrangers, ne génère aucune école locale. (fr)
