Il était convenu que la monnaie serait gérée par une fondation sans but lucratif dont Facebook ne serait qu'une des organisations cofondatrices. Libra devait être gérable via Novi, un portefeuille virtuel, auparavant nommé Calibra. En décembre 2020, Libra change de nom pour s'appeler Diem. (fr)
